There's been talk from some folk that seems to imply that the elders are a disposable population. Of course, that's not true! If modern civilization really does end up screeching to a halt, the younger generation is going to need us old fogies around to teach them basic survival skills. I'm good with raising plants and animals and my hubby knows how fix anything mechanical, for example. Honor and protect your local elders!

I think it might be fun (and educational) to post links and stories about great Elders. This link leads to a cover of "My Generation" from a British band called "The Zimmers" - "zimmer" is Brit-speak for walker, and the band is mostly made up of elderly folk (https://youtu.be/zqfFrCUrEbY). I think they're awesome! :)

Tony Schinella - or anyone in the area - I’m wondering if the family who’s home burned in Goffstown on Tirrell Hill Road is being helped by the community? My daughter and I passed the house just before the fire trucks arrived and it was such a horrible site. We wanted to help in some way. Does anyone know?
