I don't know about you but when the leaves start to change my entire life starts to get a little bit better. This is because I love cooler weather and enjoy being outside without sweating. It is a time for hiking and for hanging out with the family by campfires. I truly enjoy the fall and winter months and another great part of it is not having to really try hard to dress up with my stoma. The fact is that I have a stoma and indeed I do carry around an ostomy bag all year long. This is normally not a bad thing, but it does take a little fashion work during the summer months to not stick out and I have to keep up with fashion and trends for my work and that means that I have to follow lots of social media with people with stomas to know what I can and cannot due this year. So having winter come certainly makes getting dressed for work so much easier.

The main reason for this is because most winter clothing is larger and a little looser than summer or spring clothing. The majority of people are wearing sweaters or hoodies all day long. The best part of this for me is that I don't have to do the extra belt and ostomy bag setups that I normally do. I usually have a nice belted ostomy bag that I use an elastic belt that goes around my abs. This is not a painful thing nor is it hard, but it is extra work in the morning, and because I may be a little bit lazy every single bit of time helps. So I am able to simply put a normal stoma setup on and pull over a nice sweater and enjoy my day. Now I will say that I still do keep up with my fashion information because I am not a super in the know person. I need help looking like I belong in my industry because I don't get fashion right off the bat. Usually, I get half of it right and the other half totally wrong. Which means that I need constant help.

How do I keep my stoma fairly hidden at work and look good at the same time? Well, I look online. But know that I am not hiding my stoma because it embarrasses me. I simply like to look good and avoid extra conversations that simply bore me. I don't care to talk about stomas all day long and most people don't either. So by eliminating that whole area of conversation I am saving so many people the pain of having to go through it and the main one is me. So just know I don't hate or dislike the fact that my stoma is on me or that it saved my life. I simply am trying to live a normal life and no it is not normal to talk about stomas with everyone who notices it on your waste.

So that is why I keep up with many social media stars who have stomas as well. I like to see what they are doing and how they are dressing. It is a great way to learn how to do knew things and also get some tips on gear and Ideas for vacations.

This is my nephew Joshua Brinkerhoff, he ran away from home in Roseville California. Our hearts are aching so please if you see him call +1 (435)-609-6992 or +1 (435) 609-3802. He took his guitar and most likely will be carrying it around. He is 16 and we think he is wearing a pit of jeans with a grey hoodie possibly has on or is carrying a green jacket with a hood and arms that are grey. He has red and white vans on that you can’t miss because he wears a size 15. He is about 6’2 and skinny with brown shaggy ear length hair. He has his guitar in a carry case, backpack and a skate board. He also maybe be wearing a grey beanie or a black spitfire hat.
