The Dec. 23, 2020 article on coronavirus caseloads in care facilities in Marin was factually wrong and unnecessarily alarming. The editors, Kat Schuster and Courtney Teague reported that “Dozens of residents and staff members at one Marin County assisted living facility are currently battling coronavirus, according to statistics from the California Department of Social Services. The Aegis Assisted Living Of Corte Madera reported a total of 45 cases among residents and staff.” These numbers reflect cases occurring EARLY ON in the pandemic, NOT CURRENTLY! There are zero current cases at Aegis of Corte Madera.
How many relatives of residents in local care facilities spent a sleepless night due to your shoddy reporting? Editors must publish a retraction and take pains in future to perform due diligence before reporting on such a sensitive topic.

Hi, I have recently started working with an organization called the Marin Equality in Education Program (MEEP). We are providing free tutoring to families in need via high school students who are looking for community service. We are still looking to expand our network of students/families receiving free, virtual tutoring, especially as Covid cases begin to surge again.
